3rd Annual Steamboat Springalicious Festival

April 10 - 11, 2010

Springalicious is ooh so delicious when Steamboat rolls out an April party with a boatload of hot values, smoking bands, cool events and specials so bright you better have your favorite pair of shades.

Even Travel + Leisure online say great parties aren’t restricted to tropical climates. Steamboat knows how to throw a blowout celebration and was recently named by T+L as one of the World’s Craziest Party Towns.

So grab your shades, lather up with sunscreen and bring your chill’n, laid-back vibe to Ski Town, U.S.A.® for a fun-filled family celebration from April 10-11 that is definitely Springalicious!

30th Annual Smartwool Cardboard Classic

When: April 10th at 11:00am on Stampede at the Base of the Steamboat Ski Area.

The Cardboard Classic, Steamboat’s traditional rite of spring celebrating its 30th year, features homemade crafts constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, water based paint, duct tape and masking tape racing down the face of Headwall to a hysterical finish. The uniqueness and creativity of the race make it an event looked forward to every year.

3rd Annual Splashdown Pond Skimming Competition

When: April 11th at 1:00pm on Stampede at the Base of the Steamboat Ski Area.

For the 3rd year, Springalicious will feature a SPLASHDOWN Pond Skimming Competition Sunday, April 11th. Steamboat’s bravest (and maybe craziest) skiers/riders will attempt to cross an ice-cold pond at the base of the mountain, while being judged on distance, outfit creativity, and crowd response.

FREE Concert - Donavon Frankenreiter

When: April 11th at 3:00pm in Gondola Square.
